Masala Chai has been a beloved beverage in India for centuries, with each family said to have their own recipe. The word 'chai' is Hindu for 'tea' and 'masala' refers to the mixture of spices, so Masla Chai is 'Spiced Tea'. To this day it is shared as a sign of hospitality and a way to bring people together.

Description

Earth & Nectar has created our own Masala Chai signature blend, using seven carefully selected spices. It is made with only pure ingredients in small batches, to ensure its quality and freshness. It's rich and warming and one we're sure you'll love!

Apart from Masala Chai's calming effect, in Ayurvedic tradition, it is said to have a warming effect on the body, which is believed to help with digestion and boost the immune system. Ginger is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and is believed to help with digestion, and cinnamon may help regulate blood sugar levels.

Ingredients

100% Pure premium black tea, cinnamon, cardamom, star anise, fennel seeds, ginger, cloves, nutmeg

Preparation

To prepare: Add 1 to 2 tablespoons Masala Chai to a saucepan or tea infuser, with 200ml hot water and 50ml preferred milk (and honey or sweetener to taste). Simmer, do not allow to boil. Turn off the heat, cover and steep for 3 to 4 minutes, strain into cup and enjoy!
